Solar Sensor: Testing and Inspection

PHOTO SENSOR





The photo sensor contains photo voltaic (sensitive to sunlight) diode.
The solar radiation received by its light receiving portion generates an electromotive force in proportion to the amount of radiation received which is transferred to the automatic temperature control module so that the solar radiation compensation will be performed.

CHECKING





1. In bright place, measure volts between pin 2 and battery (-) terminal.
2. In dark place, measure volts between pin 2 and battery (-) terminal.
3. Check the voltage is higher in bright light than in the dark.
