Self-Diagnosis Checking

Self-diagnosis checking is performed when there has been an automatic cancellation, without cancel switch operation.

1. The following two methods can be used for checking the diagnosis.




1. If a voltmeter is used. Connect the data link connector. Voltmeter display the diagnosis code number and then check.




2. If a indicator lamp is used. Connect directly between the ground terminal and the terminal for CC of the data link connector. It is possible to discover which circuit is the cause of the cancellation by verifying the indication shown by the indicator lamp with display patterns shown.


CAUTION: The ignition switch should be turned OFF when connecting and disconnecting the Scan tool. (Voltmeter or indicator lamp).
