DESCRIPTION:
The 1999 Elantra has a 2.0L engine installed as standard equipment. Because of the increase in engine displacement from 1 .8L to 2.0L, a different part number transaxle is installed. Transaxles for 1998 and 1999 Elantra vehicles are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.
If you replace a transaxle for a 1998 or 1999 Elantra, please check the parts catalog for the correct part number.
