Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Discharge the air conditioning system.
2. Disconnect the two suction lines from the accumulator.
3. Remove the accumulator from the bracket.
NOTE: Plug all the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the accumulator in the bracket.
NOTE: Do not remove the plugs until you are ready to make the connection.
2. Connect the liquid lines to the accumulator and tighten to the specified torque.
Tightening torque ............................. 12-15 Nm (120-150 kg.cm, 8.9-11.1 lb.ft)
3. If the accumulator is replaced with a new unit, add 80 cc of compressor oil to the compressor.
