Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Testing and Inspection

Ambient Sensor:

The ambient sensor is located in front of the condenser fan shroud.

The sensor contains a thermistor which measures the temperature of the outside aid.

CHECKING
1. Disconnect battery terminal (-).
2. Detach the harness of the ambient temperature sensor.
3. Measure the resistance as shown.
Resistance 20° C ..................................... 37.3 ± 12.25 Ohms
