DESCRIPTION:
The electrical schematic on page SD-72 of the 2001 Elantra Electrical Troubleshooting Manual (ETM PXYE-B042A) incorrectly illustrates the rear (downstream) heated oxygen sensor.
The errors are:
^ The locations of the heater and sensor within a "box" representing the sensor are switched. The sensor should be between pins # 1 and # 2 of the diagram and the heater should be between pins # 3 and # 4.
^ Pins # 42 and # 9 of the ECM Connector (C83) have the descriptions switched. Pin # 42 is for the Oxygen sensor signal and pin # 9 is for Oxygen sensor heating signal.
The diagram shows the corrections.
Please make the corrections on page SD-72 of the ETM. Please make a note of this TSB # and the title on the top of page SD-72 of the ETM.
