Camshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation

CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CMP SENSOR)
The camshaft position sensor (CMP Sensor) senses the TDC point of No.1 cylinder on its compression stroke. Its signal is fed to the ECM to be used to determine the sequence of fuel injection.
