Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair
FUEL LINE AND VAPOR LINEREMOVAL
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the two fitting nuts while holding the fuel filter nut securely.
CAUTION:
- Reduce the fuel pressure before disconnecting the fuel line and hose, or fuel will spill out.
- Cover the pipe connection with a shop towel to prevent splashing of fuel that could be caused by residual pressure In the fuel line.
2. Remove the fuel filter mounting bolts, then remove the fuel filter from the bracket.
3. Remove the fuel return hose and line.
4. Remove the fuel vapor hose and line.
INSPECTION
1. Check the hoses and pipes for cracking, bending, deformation or restrictions.
2. Check the EVAP Canister for restrictions.
3. Check the fuel filter for restrictions and damage.
