Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

Cylinder Head





Install and uniformly tighten the cylinder head bolts on each cylinder head in several passes and in the sequence shown, then repeat for the other side, as shown.





If only one of the cylinder head bolts dose not meet the torque specification, replace the cylinder head bolt.
Torque 25 Nm (250 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.)
Retighten the cylinder head bolts 60° in the numerical order shown.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts 45° in the numerical order shown.

Intake Manifold





Install the intake manifold and gasket.
Tightening torque 19 - 21 Nm (190 - 210 kgf-cm, 14 - 15 ft. lbs.)


Camshaft Bearing Caps





Install the camshaft bearing caps (A).
Tightening torque:
M6 (38 mm) 10 - 12 Nm (100 - 120 kgf-cm, 7 - 9 ft. lbs.)
M6 (50 mm) 14 - 16 Nm (140 - 160 kgf-cm, 10 - 12 ft. lbs.)


Camshaft sprocket bolt 90 - 11 0 Nm (900 - 11 00 kgf-cm, 65 - 80 ft. lbs.)


Exhaust Manifold





Install the exhaust manifold (A) and gasket (B).
Tightening torque 30 - 35 Nm (300 - 350 kgf-cm, 22 - 26 ft. lbs.)
