A/C - Tapping Noise When Compressor Is ON

2007 ENTOURAGE A/C COMPRESSOR DISC AND HUB REPLACEMENT

DESCRIPTION:

Some 2007 MY Entourage vehicles may experience a tapping noise during A/C compressor use. Installation of the new Disc & Hub Assembly will reduce the transmitted noise.

VEHICLES AFFECTED:

^ Model: 2007 Entourage

^ Affected vehicle production date range: Produced through November 28 2006





PARTS REQUIRED:

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Raise the vehicle with a lift.

2. Remove the Front RH wheel.





3. Remove the RH engine side cover (A).





4. Remove the A/C compressor disc & hub assembly mounting bolt (B). Tightening torque: (7.2 10.8 lb-ft, 1.0 ~ 1.5 Kgf-m 9.8 14.7 Nm)

5. Remove the A/C compressor disc & hub assembly (C).





CAUTION:
Do not lose the clearance shim upon removal.

Shim will need to be reused with new Dart.

6. Install new disc & hub assembly (D).





NOTE:
Rubber thickness on new part has been increased.





7. Install clearance shim before installing the disc & hub assembly (E).

8. Reassemble in the reverse order of removal.
