Repair Procedures





Removal

1. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
Raise the front of the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
2. Remove the front wheel and tire(A) from front hub(B).





CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts(C) when removing the front wheel and tire(A).

3. Remove the upper arm ball joint self-locking nut(A) and the snap pin(B).




4. Using the special tools(09568-4A000), disconnect the upper arm ball joint(B) from the knuckle(A).




5. Remove the front strut assembly .
6. Remove the two upper arm mounting bolts(A) from the body.






Installation

1. Install the two upper arm mounting bolts(A) to the body.

Tightening torque :
55 - 65N.m (5.5 - 6.5kgf.m, 39.8 - 47.0lb-ft)





2. Install the front strut assembly .
3. Install the upper arm ball joint self-locking nut(A) and the snap pin(B).

Tightening torque :
35 - 45N.m (3.5 - 4.5kgf.m, 25.3 - 32.5lb-ft)





4. Install the wheel and the tire(A) to the front hub(B).

Tightening torque :
90 - 110N.m (9 - 11kgf.m, 65.1 - 79.5lb-ft)






CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts(C) when installing the front wheel and tire(A).
