Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

Replacement

1. Remove the fuel pump .
2. Disconnect the fuel sender wiring connector (A) and the electric pump wiring connector (B).




3. Separate the flange assembly (C) from the fuel pump assembly with the three fixing hooks (D) disengaged.

CAUTION:
Be careful not to break the fixing hooks. It may be broken if excessively raised.

4. Separate the assist pump with hose (A) with the two fixing hooks (B) disengaged.




5. Disconnect the electric pump wiring connector (A) on the electric pump.




6. Remove the cover (A) with the three fixing hooks raised.





CAUTION:
Be careful not to break the fixing hooks. It may be broken if excessively raised.

7. Pull the electric pump (B) & the pre-filter (C) from the fuel filter.
8. Push the sender assembly downward, and then separate it from the fuel filter assembly.




9. Install a new fuel filter.




10. Assemble the fuel pump assembly in accordance with the above steps.
