Body Control Module - B1907 Rain Sensor Fault 3 - Component Inspection

Component Inspection

Check BCM
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & wiper "AUTO"
3. Measure waveform between terminal "C3" of BCM and chassis ground.

Specification : Refer the specifications in fig.2)

4. Is the measured waveform within specifications?





Check Rainsensor
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & wiper "AUTO".
3. Measure waveform between terminal "4" of rainsensor and chassis ground while sprinkling water on front window glass.

Specification : Duty cycle > 66.7% ± 3%

4. Is the measured waveform within specifications?
** Duty cycle value will be fixed at 95.2% ± 3%, if fault 3 is detected.
