LDWS SYSTEM CHECK DURING PDI

DESCRIPTION:

This bulletin provides instructions on how to turn ON and OFF the LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) during the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) process.

VEHICLES AFFECTED:

Model:2011 MY Equus

PROCEDURE TO TURN ON AND OFF "LDWS":

1. To turn ON/OFF the LDWS Belt Tensioning feature, push the "INFO/PHONE button on the Central Control Pad (CCP).

2. Using the CCP control dial, select "Car Settings".

3. Toggle right with the control dial and select "LDWS Belt Tensioning".

4. Toggle right again with the control dial and select "ON". Push down on the control dial to accept.

5. Perform the LDWS Belt Tensioning test during the PDI test drive.

6. Turn LDWS Belt Tensioning "OFF" following the steps above before delivering the vehicle to the customer.

NOTES:

^ LDWS only operates at vehicle speeds above 43 MPH.

^ To active LDWS - toggle the switch on the right hand side of the steering wheel labeled "LDWS" toward you.

^ For more information on LDWS and how to operate the system - please refer to the vehicles Owner's Manual.

^ The customer should be notified this feature is turned off during the delivery process.
