DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides procedures on how to inspect and/or repair vehicles which could experience slight distortion in the instrument cluster display.
VEHICLES AFFECTED:
Model: 2011 MY Santa Fe
SERVICE/INSPECTION PROCEDURE:
1. When removing the plastic film from the instrument cluster display, a static charge can build up (depending on weather conditions) and discharge onto the electronic display.
2. When this occurs - small black lines will form on the display. This is temporary.
3. Allow 2~3 minutes time to pass for the black lines to dissipate. If black lines (distortion) are still present, have the instrument cluster replaced under normal warranty.
