I. Inspect

1. Locate floor mat bracket in front of driver and passenger seats (Figure 1).

2. The hook portion of the floor mat bracket is a positioning fixture for the mat and should be on the side facing the transmission tunnel (refer to Figure 1).

3. If the floor mat brackets have been installed incorrectly - such that the hook portion is on the side facing the door - refer to the instructions which follow to exchange the brackets from side-to-side.
