Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

Fig. 3 Throttle wire adjustment:

1. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
2. While pressing lock plate, Fig. 3, move adjusting tube in direction "T", then return lock plate.
3. Move throttle drum from P2 to P1 quickly and ensure throttle wire stroke "L" is within 1.54-1.69 inch on RL4F03A, RE4F03A, RE4F03V transaxles and 1.079-1.236 inch on RE4F04A and R34F04V transaxles, between full throttle and idle.
4. Adjust throttle wire stroke when throttle wire/accelerator wire is installed and adjusted. Put mark on throttle wire to aid in measuring wire stroke.
