SERVICE INFORMATION

This Service Bulletin applies if a customer complains that with the Air Conditioning in the "Auto" mode and the vehicle is stopped his/her J30 exhibits fluctuating engine idle speed from approximately 475-550 rpm to 800-900 rpm with the cycling of the air conditioning compressor.

If the A/C refrigerant charge is correct and this incident occurs when the ambient temperature is below 56°F, replace the Auto A/C Control Amplifier with the countermeasure unit P/N 28520-10Y03. The new control amplifier prevents a/c compressor cycling below 15 kph (10 mph).
