Acceleration Cut Control System (ACC)
Acceleration Cut (for A/C) Control System Input And Output:
PURPOSE
The acceleration cut control (ACC) system is used to improve engine operation by disengaging the A/C compressor when the throttle valve is at wide open throttle (WOT).
OPERATION
When the Engine Control Module (ECM) senses that the throttle valve is at WOT, via the throttle sensor, it opens the ground circuit to the A/C relay. This cuts voltage to the A/C compressor clutch.
