Engine Control Module: Description and Operation

ECM And Diagnostic LED Locations:

PURPOSE
It controls all of the Electronic Concentrated Engine Control System (ECCS) functions.

OPERATION
The ECCS Control Module (ECM) consists of a diagnostic mode selector, inspection lamp, microcomputer and connectors for inputs, outputs and power supply.
It takes input signals from the system sensors and controls system components according to a set of internally pre-mapped values.
