Control Module: Description and Operation

A/T CONTROL UNIT FUNCTION
The A/T control unit receives signals sent from various switches and sensors. The control unit then determines required line pressure, shifting point, lock-up operation, engine brake operation. The unit sends required signals to the respective solenoids.

These circuit lines are used to control the smooth shifting up and down of A/T during the hard acceleration/deceleration. Voltage signals are exchanged between Engine Control Module (ECM) and A/T control unit.
