SERVICE INFORMATION

Some states require "enhanced" vehicle emissions tests that use two-wheel (single axle) dynamometers. Some vehicles cannot be operated on two-wheel dynamometers because of having full time four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrains.

WARNING:
THE AWD FX45 and AWD FX35 MUST NEVER BE TESTED ON A TWO-WHEEL DYNAMOMETER. THIS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS TRANSMISSION DAMAGE. ALSO, UNCONTROLLED VEHICLE MOVEMENT MAY OCCUR THAT COULD CAUSE A CRASH AND INJURIES TO PERSONS NEARBY. Some states use four-wheel dynamometers in their testing programs. When properly used, that equipment will not damage AWD FX45 and AWD FX35.

The AWD FX45 and AWD FX35 can be easily identified by:

^ All FX45 are AWD.

For FX35:

^ Confirming that an AWD badge is on the back of the vehicle.

^ Confirming the vehicle has a front differential.

^ Confirming that the VIN # contains a W in the 8th position (instead of a U for Two-wheel drive vehicles).

Example: JNR*S*8W*3X****** is AWD / JNR*S*8U*3X****** is 2WD.

CAUTION:
VEHICLE DAMAGE CAUSED BY IMPROPER TESTING MAY NOT BE COVERED UNDER INFINITI WARRANTIES.
