A/T Does Not Shift: 2nd gear -> 1st gearSYMPTOM: When shifted from 2M to 1M position in manual mode, does not downshift from 2nd to 1st gear.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Execute self-diagnosis.
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate PNP switch, ATF pressure switch 5?
YES >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to "DTC P0705 PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH", "DTC P1845 ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 5". P0705 P1845
NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check A/T fluid level again.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Refill ATF.
3. CHECK CONTROL LINKAGE
Check the control linkage.
^ Refer to "Checking of A/T Position".
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Adjust control linkage. Refer to "Adjustment of A/T Position".
4. MANUAL MODE SWITCH
Check the manual mode switch. Refer to "DTC P1815 MANUAL MODE SWITCH". P1815
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
5. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION
1. Remove oil pan.
2. Check A/T fluid condition.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 6.
NG >> GO TO 9.
6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
^ Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to "Symptom Chart". Symptom Chart
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 7.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
7. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 6.
8. PERFORM TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
9. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
^ Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to "Symptom Chart".
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 7.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
