IF YOU CONFIRM:
The set temperature of the auto A/C system does not change to the voice command given;
(Example: "Temperature 75 degrees" command is given, but the set temperature changes to 72 degrees, not 75.)
ACTIONS:
For vehicles with navigation system:
^ Use the PROGRAM CD-ROM to reprogram the DVD unit through the navigation system. (ITB03-022 is printed on the label.)
^ This CD-ROM was mailed to each dealer's Service Department and should have arrived by August 6, 2003
For vehicles without navigation system:
^ Replace the AV (Audiovisual) Control Unit.
IMPORTANT:
The purpose of "ACTIONS" (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Vehicles with Navigation System:
1. Start the engine.
2. In the trunk area; open the cover of the AV and NAVI Control Unit (DVD Unit-see Figure 2).
3. Press the eject button of the DVD Unit and remove the map CD.
4. Insert the PROGRAM CD-ROM (ITB03-022 is printed on the label-see Figure 1).
^ The software will automatically start loading.
5. When the loading process is complete:
^ "PROGRAM LOADING COMPLETED will be displayed on the navigation screen and
^ The PROGRAM CD will automatically eject from the DVD unit.
6. Remove the PROGRAM CD-ROM and insert the map CD.
7. Turn off the engine wait about one minute.
8. Turn the ignition ON.
^ Push the MAP button on the center panel then
^ Select I AGREE on the SYSTEM START-UP screen and press ENTER.
9. The navigation map should appear on the screen after the short "WAIT" procedure is complete.
Vehicles without Navigation
1. Replace the AV (Audiovisual) Control Unit (see Parts Information).
^ Refer to the appropriate Service Manual (ESM) Section DI for Audiovisual Control Unit replacement procedures.
