A/T Does Not Perform Lock-up

SYMPTOM: A/T does not perform lock-up at the specified speed.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis.

Do the self-diagnosis results indicate torque converter clutch solenoid valve, engine speed signal, turbine revolution sensor, accelerator pedal position sensor, CAN communication?
YES >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to "DTC P0740 TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID VALVE", "DTC P0725 ENGINE SPEED SIGNAL", "DTC P1716 TURBINE REVOLUTION SENSOR", "DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE".

"DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or "DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for VK45DE), "DTC P2127, P2128 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or "DTC P2127, P2128 APP SENSOR" (for VK45DE), "DTC P2138 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or "DTC P2138 APP SENSOR" (for VK45DE).

NO >> GO TO 2.

2. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check the A/T fluid level again.

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Refill ATF.

3. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check the line pressure at the engine stall point.

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Check the line pressure solenoid valve. Refer to "DTC P0745 LINE PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE". P0745

4. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.

OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 5.

5. CHECK TCM
Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.

OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 6.

6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
Check the following items:
^ Power supply and ground circuit for TCM.
^ A/T assembly harness connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

OK or NG
OK >> Replace the transmission assembly.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
