Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Checking Fluid Level

Checking Fluid Level

^ Stop engine before performing a fluid level check.
^ Ensure that the fluid level is between the MAX range and MIN range.
Because the fluid level differs within the HOT range and the COLD range, check it carefully.
HOT: Fluid temperatures from 50 to 80°C (122 to 176°F)
COLD: Fluid temperatures from 0 to 30°C (32 to 86°F)

CAUTION:
^ Do not overfill (above the MAX level) because it is cause of leaks from the cap portion.
^ Do not reuse the drained power steering fluid.
^ Recommended fluid is Genuine NISSAN PSF or equivalent. Do not use NISSAN PSF special and NISSAN matic fluid.
