KEY SLOT





Description
- Detect whether Intelligent Key is inserted.
- Immobilizer antenna amp checks Intelligent Key transponder.




Component Function Check
1.CHECK FUNCTION
Check key slot ("KEY SW -SLOT") in Data Monitor mode using CONSULT-III.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Key slot is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK FUSE
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check 10 A fuse, [No.9, located in fuse block (J/B)].
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.
2.CHECK KEY SLOT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect key slot connector.
2. Check voltage between slot harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3.CHECK KEY SLOT CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM connector.
2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and key slot harness connector.





3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK KEY SLOT
SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 5.
NO - Replace key slot. Removal And Installation Intelligent Key System.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END




Component Inspection
1.CHECK KEY SLOT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect key slot connector.
3. Check continuity between key slot terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace key slot. Removal And Installation Intelligent Key System.
