5-SPEED TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT SHIFT FORKS

VEHICLES AFFECTED

All Isuzu I-Mark (PF), Impulse and P'UP models equipped with 5-speed manual transmission.

SERVICE INFORMATION




Replacement shift forks have been designed to increase strength in the shift arm spring pin area. Note:
the raised area in the shift fork on the right in the photograph below. There is a similar raised portion on the opposite side of the shift arm hole. When using the new forks, use the new, longer double roll pin. DO NOT REUSE THE ORIGINAL SINGLE ROLL PIN WHEN USING REDESIGNED SHIFT FORKS.

PARTS INFORMATION

The part numbers below correspond to the redesigned shift forks and double roll pin.

Original and redesigned shift forks are interchangeable. However the new double roll pin must be used with the new forks. Again do not reuse the original pin when replacing earlier style shift forks with the new, redesigned forks.

If the original shift forks are to be reused, a new single roll pin, P/N 9-09678-543-0, must be used.

Follow the procedure as outlined in the appropriate workshop manual.
