Spark Does Not Occur

1. Inspect ignition coil high tension cable. If cable is unsatisfactory, repair or replace. If cable is satisfactory, proceed to step 2.
2. Inspect spark plugs. If spark plugs are unsatisfactory, repair or replace. If spark plug is satisfactory, proceed to step 3.
3. Inspect igniter. If igniter lead wire to distributor is broken, replace wire. If igniter is satisfactory, proceed to step 4.
4. Inspect distributor. If primary side lead wire is broken or grounded, repair or replace. If cap or rotor is poorly insulated, replace as required. If distributor is satisfactory, proceed to step 5.
5. Inspect ignition coil. If coil assembly is opened or shorted, replace coil assembly. If primary coil lead is broken, repair or replace.
