Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Description and Operation

On these vehicles, recirculation gas is drawn from the exhaust manifold to the
EGR valve and through a stainless steel pipe into the intake manifold. The system,
Fig. 31, consists of an EGR valve, thermo switch, a vacuum switching valve, an EGR controller, an
engine speed sensor and a control lever position sensor.
