I-Mark (JT) models before VIN J7404935 (production date 08/30/87).

SERVICE INFORMATION

The carpeting on the driver's side may slip loose in the upper left corner. Follow the instructions in this Service Bulletin to apply carpet adhesive to correct this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove hood release lever from kick panel.

2. Remove kick panel by removing 2 phillips screws (Figure 1).

3. Remove speed clip from carpeting (Figure 1) and pull back top left edge of carpeting to expose underlay.

4. Apply 3M carpet adhesive to underside of loose carpet and to top side of underlay (Figure 2).

5. Allow adhesive to set for 1 to 3 minutes.

6. Reinstall carpet, pressing it smoothly to underlay.
7. Reinstall speed clip to carpeting.

8. Reinstall kick panel as outlined in the appropriate Workshop Manual.

9. Reinstall hood release lever.
