1. Remove air flow sensor.

2. Partly raise sealing gasket on air flow sensor side of harness connector, then check voltage and resistance of sensor as specified in chart, Fig. 41
3. If wires A and C are not as specified in chart, proceed to step 4. If wires A and C are as specified in chart but wire B is not, replace air flow sensor.

4. Check bypass circuit (A) for contamination, Fig. 43, and clean as necessary.

5. Reinstall air flow sensor, then check continuity of air flow sensor circuit as shown in Fig. 44 then compare with specifications in chart, Fig. 47
6. If continuity is not as specified in chart, repair or replace faulty wires.
