Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

After necessary repairs have been made, disconnect diagnostic test leads, then clear trouble code memory by removing No. 4 fuse in fuse junction block. After trouble code memory has been cleared, access trouble code memory again and ensure code 12 is displayed. If any other codes are displayed, repeat trouble code diagnosis.
Code 12 is a normal condition (engine speed less than 200 RPM) when system is operating properly and engine is not running.
If necessary, trouble codes can also be cleared by disconnecting the control unit's 13 terminal connector.
