Air Injection Manifold: Description and Operation
Pressurized air from the air pump is fed through the check valve, into the air manifold, where it is distributed to the nozzles. The nozzles are installed in position near the exhaust valves and pointed toward the valve. Thus, air is continuously injected into the exhaust manifold while the engine is running.
