Clutch: Service and Repair

1. Remove transmission as described elsewhere in this section.
2. Mark clutch assembly to flywheel for installation in original position.
3. Remove pressure plate assembly attaching bolts and the pressure plate assembly.
4. Remove clutch driven disc assembly.
5. Remove shift collar retaining spring.
6. Remove shift collar and bearing.
7. Remove clutch shift fork assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

Fig. 1 Pressure plate attaching bolt tightening sequence:

a. Torque pressure plate assembly attaching bolts to 12-14 ft. lbs. in proper sequence, Fig. 3.
b. Lubricate clutch shift fork assembly with suitable grease.
