EGR Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Disconnect vacuum switching valve electrical connector, then connect voltmeter positive lead to Green/Black wire and negative lead to Black/Yellow wire. Start engine and accelerate to below 3000 RPM for 1985-87 Pickup, and observe voltmeter. Voltmeter should read approximately 12 volts. If significantly different from specified value, replace EGR controller.
