MALFUNCTION CODES OF DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM





1. Trouble diagnostic procedure
The light flashes and indicates the malfunction code when the diagnosis terminal extending from the control unit is grounded with the engine running.
(It is important to keep the engine running while performing trouble diagnosis.)

(1) Malfunction code indication
The malfunction code is indicated by intermittent operation of the lights which represent the malfunction code figures.





For instance, the provided image (above) indicates the malfunction code "24".






(2) The location of abnormality can be detected by the blinking "CHECK ENGINE" indicator built into the instrument panel.

The blinking consists of the patterns shown in the provided image, and individual pattern will repeat to indicate abnormality. When more than one abnormality takes place, related patterns will repeat 3 times each. Having completed all the pertinent patterns, it returns to the initial pattern. Then the same is repeated.
