Air Injection: Description and Operation

The
air injection reactor system,
Fig. 16 is designed so ambient air is pressurized by the air pump and is then injected, through the injection nozzles provided near each exhaust valve, into the exhaust gasses. The exhaust gasses are high in temperature and self-ignite when brought into contact with the oxygen of the ambient air.
