EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection

On I-Mark models, apply 4.9 inches of Hg of vacuum to supply port of EGR valve. On Pickup and Trooper II models with manual transmission except California, apply 4.7 inches Hg of vacuum to supply port on EGR valve. On Pickup and Trooper II models except Federal models with manual transmission, apply 3.9 inches Hg of vacuum to EGR supply port. With the specified amount of vacuum applied to the EGR valve, the diaphragm should be in the full upward position and should not leak down.
