Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

Preparation
1. Set the engine tachometer after warming up the engine thoroughly.
2. Stop the engine. Disconnect the fuel hose between the pressure regulator and the fuel distributor pipe to reduce the fuel pressure. Remove the main relay connector.
3. Remove all spark plugs.
4. Engage the starter and check that the cranking speed is approximately 300 rpm.
- Replace the battery if the cranking speed does not reach 300 rpm.
Measurement











1. With the throttle valve opened fully, keep the starter engaged until the compression gauge needle reaches the maximum level and then take the reading of the gauge
2. Repeat the test on each cylinder.
