Removing CAL-PAK:





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
- Remove computer from vehicle as described under ECM in this section.
- Remove access cover.
- Remove CALPAK, using CALPAK removal tool, Grasp CALPAK carrier at narrow ends only. To remove, gently rock the carrier from end to end while applying a firm upwards force.
- Inspect CALPAK carrier reference end and set aside. Do not remove CALPAK from carrier unless necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
- Install replacement CALPAK in carrier.
- Position replacement CALPAK and carrier assembly over CALPAK socket and press down firmly on top of carrier. Press down on carrier and ensure it seats squarely. Do not press on CALPAK. Press on carrier only.
- Replace access cover, then install computer in vehicle.
