Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
Before installation, apply Loctite 262, or equivalent, to fastener screws.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
- Air cleaner.
- Negative battery cable.
- Electrical connector.
- Two screws, lock washers and retainers.
- Sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
- With throttle valve in closed position, install sensor on TBI unit, making sure TPS pickup lever is located ABOVE tang on throttle actuator lever.
- Two retainers, lock washers and screws.
- Electrical connector.
- Air cleaner.
- Negative battery cable.
