Input Shaft

DISASSEMBLY




If you have not done so previously, remove these parts from the input shaft:
- Mainshaft thrust race bearing and spacer
- Mainshaft needle bearing rollers (there are 15 rollers)

1. Input shaft bearing and input shaft disassembly




- Using a hydraulic press and the puller plate, remove the input shaft bearing assembly from the shaft.

REASSEMBLY

1. Input shaft and bearing reassembly




- Use a hydraulic press, installer and puller plate to install the input shaft bearing assembly onto the input shaft.

- Using petroleum jelly, install the 15 rollers into the rear of the input shaft. Also install the mainshaft thrust bearing and its race in the rear of the input shaft
