Ignition Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

Ignition Wires:





2. Remove intercooler and ignition coil cover.
3. Remove cylinder head center cover.
4. Disconnect spark plug wires from spark plugs.
5. Remove spark plug wire retainer from coil, complete with wires.

REFITTING

Spark Plug Wire Retainer:





6. When installing plug wires to retainer, align setting position of wire by aligning setting mark on wire to the clip. Be sure to install wires in the proper positions.

Ignition Wires:





7. Fit plug wires to correct positions in clamps. (See views B & C)
8. Refit center cover and ignition coil cover.
9. Refit intercooler and battery ground cable.
