Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil:

REMOVE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove intercooler.
3. Remove ignition coil cover.
4. Remove spark plug wires from coil. Mark positions.
5. Remove two screws for one coil and remove coil from module. Be careful not to bend module prongs.

Ignition Module:

6. Remove module.

REFIT

7. Fit new module.
8. Refit coil and torque mounting screws to:

40 in lb (4.5 Nm)

9. Refit spark plug wires to coil. Be sure to fit in proper positions.
10. Refit coil cover.
11. Refit intercooler and battery cable.
