Removal and Installation

Mounting Bolt And Electrical Connector:





REMOVAL
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Disconnect distributor wiring connector and spark plug wires.
- Remove bolt securing distributor to engine and remove distributor.

INSTALLATION
- Refit distributor to engine. Tighten mounting bolt to:

17 ft lb (24 Nm)

- Refit spark plug wires and distributor wiring connector.
- Refit battery cable.
- Check and adjust ignition timing. Refer to Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Adjustments.
