Control Module: Description and Operation

The engine control unit (ECM) and A/T control unit (TCU) work together to ensure smooth performance.
The ECM provides the TCU with throttle position, engine rpm, MAP values and engine temperature information. The TCU uses this information to calculate shift points and line pressure (for shifting harshness).
The TCU provides the ECM with gear position. The ECM uses this information to calculate various factors.
