Fuel Cut-Off System

FUEL CUT-OFF SYSTEM

Preparation:
1. Start and warm up the engine thoroughly.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position.
3. Disconnect wide open throttle switch harnesses at connector, insert a fused jumper wire into the idle terminal (upper), then make connections at the connector with the wire pulled part way out.

Inspection:
1. Keep engine running at 2,000 - 2,500 rpm.
2. Check to make certain engine speed lowers to approximately 1,250 rpm when battery voltage is applied to the wire extending from the idle terminal.

NOTE: Engine hunting may occur at the speed of 1,250 rpm or so, but it does not indicate an abnormal condition.

Fuel cut-off and reinjection are controlled by the throttle switch.
