Air Injection: Description and Operation
AIR actuates under the following conditions, however the engine RPM must be less than 3500 rpm.
To reduce HC and CO emissions, this system draws in air into exhaust ports to accelerate oxidation. The air management valve (vacuum switching valve) is designed to introduce the air from the air pump to check valve or divert the air to the atmosphere under the control of
engine control module.
