Discriminating Sensor

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Drill out mounting rivets.
3. Disconnect CPA lock from connector, then disconnect connector.
4. Remove sensor from vehicle.
5. Enlarge mounting holes to 0.35 inch, then insert M6 rivet nuts and seats with tool No. J41708, or equivalent.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Arrow on sensor must face front of vehicle.
b. Use 6mm screws and tighten to specifications.
c. Connect electrical connector and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) lock.
d. Arm SRS as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
